Save our Suicide Awareness wall in town plaza and Tree of Hope in the Town Park Charleville

Save our Suicide Awareness wall in Charleville town plaza and the Tree of Hope in the Town Park Charleville. Our wall was created in 2012 in memory of all who have died through Suicide in Charleville and the surrounding areas. Charleville Suicide Awareness Project maintains this wall and the flower pots adjoining beautifully throughout each year and we endeavour to hold our National Suicide Awareness Day Event in the Plaza in front of this wall every year. The Tree of Hope and the bench in the town park 2010 was planted as a peaceful area that anyone needing support could go to and also have access to support numbers in a private and dignified manner. Cork County Council has contacted us to advise they now want to erase the murals on the wall with a view to planting the area due to development works going from the Plaza to the Town Park this, I have been informed would also include moving the Tree of Hope and bench from its current location. Please sign our petition to support this very vital project and let the people of Charleville and surrounding areas know that there is help and support available to those who need it in the this town.
