Stop the killing of people and burning of homes in Aghem-Wum, NWR, Cameroon

Ever since the beginning of the armed conflict in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon, Wum Town and the indigenous people of AGHEM have been subjects to butchery, burning of traditional palaces and homes, looting, and enforced disappearances from some identifiable Fulani/Hausa individuals in complicity with some government troops and from non-state armed groups.

We the people of Aghem say STOP to these grievous violation and abuses. Helpless at the local administration’s incapacity to protect us, we Aghems are signing this petition to draw concern to our plight.

Pregnant women are homeless, children do not go to school, there have been mass movements of indigenous people fleeing from the killings and arson. This situation may escalate into an inter-community war, within an armed conflict situation if perpetrators are not stopped and brought to book.

Dear people of Aghem, accompanying this are a few footages and videos of what pregnant women, children and elderly men are going through here in Aghem. We need at least 5,000 signatures of this petition to make it reach the highest global human rights instances.

On Facebook, tweeter, Instagram, whatsapp statuses, Let us on fridays, post : #StopKillingsInAghem or any other message to draw attention to our plight.Aghem1.jpeg
